I’m super excited to announce that I’m currently working with two amazing photographers for upcoming mixed-media artwork!

Anna Victoria Best, a fashion photographer who I collaborate with for LoveDough, was kind enough to allow me to use some of her images to create a brand new Mixed Media Girls set that will become available to purchase as limited edition prints on my online shop.

Scott A. Woodward, a Singapore-based photographer whose extensive portfolio ranges from travel to fashion, contacted me to ask whether I’d be interested in transforming some of his photography into mixed-media artwork. It was an immediate ‘yes’ after taking one look at the images that he sent me. With their unique mix of strength and serenity, his images creates a new challenge, driving me to approach these illustrations in a whole new way.

You can finally purchase your copy of Memories; a book filled with dozens of artworks inspired by 12 stories about individuals who have battled cancer.

From the moment I finished reading the story I was given for the Memories book; ‘Fat Feet’, I knew I wanted to create a typographic illustration that was made up of a single line to represent the difficult pathway that the storyteller journeyed. Above is my progress of how my initial concept developed from one idea to the next. I ended up drawing several versions – (changing wording, typeface and style) before deciding that having the word ‘Determination’ hidden in both a subtle and complex form was what I wanted to do. But now I think I should go back and complete my original ‘I Will Finish This’ illustration too as I quite like it again!

After the positive reaction and amazing feedback for the Malibu Rum Summer ’11 bottle design, I was re-commissioned by Malibu to create more artwork for other products that they are set to release this Summer alongside the limited edition bottle. Here are a few progress shots for brand new illustrations that will be printed on tote bags – coming soon!

It was an honour to be asked to take part in Memories; a project that is in the process of creating a beautiful book containing artworks that represent the stories of individuals whose lives have been touched by cancer. I was recently emailed for my opinions on hand-crafted work versus digitally-crafted work. I have no issues with digital artwork but I do love to create my own work by hand. Above are some images of existing work in their original forms.

I was invited to illustrate live and exhibit new work at the The Live Issue event.

I was one of the 78 participants for the Nike78 project. The object was to challenge the idea of sport using a pair of Nike trainers as inspiration.
