NIKKI FARQUHARSON

From the moment I finished reading the story I was given for the Memories book; 'Fat Feet', I knew I wanted to create a typographic illustration that was made up of a single line to represent the difficult pathway that the storyteller journeyed. Above is my progress of how my initial concept developed from one idea to the next. I ended up drawing several versions - (changing wording, typeface and style) before deciding that having the word 'Determination' hidden in both a subtle and complex form was what I wanted to do. But now I think I should go back and complete my original 'I Will Finish This' illustration too as I quite like it again!
